SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Last year, we were able to hand out $2100 in cash scholarships! Because 2020 and 2021 was a very different year for all seniors, thanks to the community coming together to help raise funds, we were able to give out $100 to every graduating senior from High School AND College that evening. This year we will be handing out four scholarships total to two graduating high school seniors and two graduating college seniors. More often than not, dancers do not pursue dance after graduation due to finances. Dance is more than an extracurricular activity for most dancers. For some, dance is their therapy and for others, a way to stay out off the streets and out of trouble. By donating, you are helping launch graduates into the next stage of their lives in hopes that they will use funds towards dance or other creative related passions. Our goal for the LDC 2022 SHOWCASE SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS is $2000. If you are interested in donating, please click the link below.  At the bottom of this page, you will see recipients from  2019 and 2020. Please leave your full name when donating with the subject "Senior Scholarship" so we can properly thank you. Thank you for your consideration!

BRIANNA BAKER

Divine Call Dance

Liberty University Class of 2019

"A HUGE thank you to all those who came out and supported their local dancers and for the generous donations towards senior scholarships. I am honored to have received a college senior scholarship, and you have no idea how much of a blessing this is to me. I will be heading to New York City in the fall for law school, and we all know that living in New York and attending law school comes with quite a hefty price tag. The scholarship will definitely help me as I take on the city and because of you, I will be able to afford to dance during law school, as I have decided to put some of my scholarship towards a membership at Broadway dance center to keep up my love for dance-something I most likely wouldn’t be able to afford without this scholarship. Again...THANK YOU!”

HANNAH ROTTER

Divine Call Dance

"Thank you so much for the LDC scholarship! God has placed me in Charlotte, NC this summer and I'm excited to use the LDC scholarship to get involved with the dance community at Charlotte Ballet. The scholarship really encouraged me to invest in whichever dance community God places me next. "
