SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS
Last year, we were able to hand out $2000 in cash scholarships! This year we will be handing out four scholarships total at our Lynchburg Showcase to two graduating high school seniors and two graduating college seniors. More often than not, dancers do not pursue dance after graduation due to finances. Dance is more than an extracurricular activity for most dancers. For some, dance is their therapy and for others, a way to stay out off the streets and out of trouble. By donating, you are helping launch graduates into the next stage of their lives in hopes that they will use funds towards dance or other creative related passions. Our goal for the LDC 2023 SHOWCASE SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS is $2000. If you are interested in donating, please click the link below. "I plan on using a portion of my scholarship money to help pay off my senior solo and duo competition fees. I was able to travel and compete at two competitions this season and placed first in senior solo and senior duo at both competitions. I will use the leftover portion of my scholarship towards books for my first semester of college at Liberty University in the fall. I am so grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has opened up for me and could never thank you enough for your donations."

I am honored to have received a college senior scholarship, and you have no idea how much of a blessing this is to me. I will be heading to New York City in the fall for law school, and we all know that living in New York and attending law school comes with quite a hefty price tag. The scholarship will definitely help me as I take on the city and because of you, I will be able to afford to dance during law school, as I have decided to put some of my scholarship towards a membership at Broadway dance center to keep up my love for dance-something I most likely wouldn’t be able to afford without this scholarship.
