2022-2023 LDC LYH CONVENTION
& AUDITIONS
*The actual LDC audition is NOT mandatory! Classes are open to EVERYONE. You will be able to select on the registration form if you would like to audition or not and what class you'd like to audition for.*
Auditionees for LDC will receive an e-mail the following week and will have the opportunity to accept or decline their position in routines.
LDC aims to schedule around Studio, Crew, Team, and Company rehearsals. In the event there is a conflict that arises at a later date with your studio, crew, team, or company, we at LDC will not penalize for missed rehearsal due to your obligation.

LDC REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals are mandatory and any conflicts should have been given during registration. Any dancer who misses more than two rehearsals may be removed from a piece or moved into an understudy position at the choreographer's discretion.Location and time's are TBA but please plan for 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. to be available on these given Sundays. Location will be in the Lynchburg, Forest, and/or Boonsboro areas.
Rehearsal Dates for LDC:
Location & Times are TBA but please plan to be available from 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Sunday rehearsals. You may not be needed for the entire time.

Rehearsals may be shortened or cancelled pending completion and cleanliness of routines.
Any dancer that misses more than 1 rehearsal will be at risk for spot changed or exchanged with an alternate at the choreographer's discretion.
LDC SELECT GROUP(S)
We have decided to include three LDC groups this year to give dancers around the community a chance to train and perform onstage together. Dancers from throughout the community will come together to rehearse to learn choreography, train, and pull together routine(s) under the leadership of selected choreographers. Styles for 2022 will include the styles of Contemporary, Street Jazz and Hip Hop. We are encouraging dancers AND choreographers to get involved in the dance community this year even more. Please check out our "WHERE TO TRAIN" page to see what other opportunities are available. Lynchburg Tap Project is another community group where dancers from all over can join and perform together as well as the Kyla Hull Gift of Dance Scholarship that is holding auditions Friday, August 26th.
